Xy Lee was a highly influential Hmong American singer and self-taught guitarist who built a globally recognized musical career before his tragic passing in 2019. During his life, he made three highly recognizable contributions to Hmong entertainment:

The bright future of Xy Lee was tragically cut short on November 17, 2019, when he was killed in a senseless mass shooting in Fresno, California. At just 23 years old, the beloved singer was attending a peaceful backyard family gathering to watch a football game when gunmen opened fire, claiming his life alongside three other men.
