Maa Vue
Maa Vue is a Hmong American singer-songwriter celebrated for her powerful vocals, emotional storytelling, and dedication to preserving Hmong culture through music. Rising to prominence on YouTube in 2012, she built a global following with her original Hmong-language songs and expressive covers, becoming one of the most recognizable contemporary Hmong artists online. Her work often honors her heritage—most notably through her collaboration with PBS Wisconsin’s Re/sound: Songs of Wisconsin, where she performed “Txiv Lub Xim Xaus,” a tribute to her father and the traditional Hmong string instrument he plays. This project deepened intergenerational cultural connection and showcased Hmong music to broader audiences.
